Adding Google Earth video into PowerPoint presentations is a great way to enhance your presentation and give a more ‘interactive’ looking show.

Adding a Google Earth video to a PowerPoint presentation is very easy, if you do it correctly. If you simply try to insert movie from file, you will likely run into problems or even a crash your PowerPoint.

These PowerPoint problem most likely stem from using the ‘insert movie from file’ option rather than linking to it using an ActiveX control. To properly add large videos, including Google Earth videos, you must use the ‘insert object’ function within PowerPoint.

I did some searching online about the subject, and managed to find an incredible tutorial in PowerPoint format. Unfortunately I do not know whom to credit the work for this tutorial.
