User-generated content is here to stay and you should be embracing this, not running from it. Take Amazon and TripAdvisor for example, they lead their niches by embracing the changing Internet and giving a place for normal people to sound off. All the wile benefiting from increased visitors, expanding content, improved search rankings, and all without lifting a finger. Now, it is your turn!







Nice post. I agree, but it is often difficult for clients to see the use of UGC. I think the examples you give are ones where the business model itself is built around user participation. But any company can leverage the power of UGC. I think the best example of this in recent weeks is Paste magazine’s Obamacon.me campaign site.
