When sending direct mail you must spice up your offer to drive conversions and generate sales. The offer is one of the most important aspects of the mailing. You can offer just about anything, so long as it has some value to the recipient. Try to think like the people receiving your mail, what might they respond to? If you are sending your mail to professors think about their daily challenges and create an offer that aims at solving one. If you are mailing to secretaries, consider about what they need most – less time around their boss! You could offer a day spa package or golf course outing and promise to disguise it as a “work related” retreat! Think outside the box here, and try to incorporate humor when ever possible.
