The world is moving, by and large, into a Web 2.0 format, which means whether you realize it or not, you have an online reputation that people may be looking at to determine whether or not they want to do business with you. In the past it was more formalized and you had to order a report to get the information on a company of interest. That’s been replaced today by some fantastic tools that give people an idea about you right away. Now, do you know what your online reputation is?

You can easily monitor as well as manage that online reputation with one or more of the tools currently available. But that’s not the best news; the best deal is that these tools are free! Just as easy as people go to the Internet and can find out about your brand name and who’s been blogging about your good or not so good impression made on them, so can you.

Technorati, Google Alerts and TweetBeep are just three of the popular tools that let you get information that’s being posted about you just minutes after it’s placed. Don’t be in the dark about your online reputation; others aren’t.
