Whether you’re working an established territory or embarking out into areas previously unexplored, there is always a variable of the unknown that exists when approaching for a sale. Being able to negotiate with a customer to gain the sale, no matter what the product is, can sometimes be frightening.

Here are some tips to help you gain the sales confidence to successfully negotiate without any fear whatsoever:

1. Don’t sell a product you don’t believe in. People can see through a sales pitch that isn’t genuine.

2. Be aware of your bottom line. There is no such thing as making every sale. Don’t be afraid to walk away and don’t regard it as a loss but as a timesaver.

3. Regard your sale as a tradeoff. You have something people want and they have money you want. Be willing to show them the benefits of the trade.

4. Disarm fear with confidence. Because fear is a lack of confidence, building confidence up

Using these tips can help you to build up the confidence you need to have many successful sales in the future.
