It doesn’t matter what your product or service is. Choosing the right brand name is just as important as the goods or services you plan to offer. If the process of choosing a brand name seems daunting, here are three easy steps to get it done:

1. Get prepared. Gather your word references books and materials to take a look at root words, combinations, extensions, substitutions and the like.

2. Start generating. This is like brainstorming where you want to get as many brand names as possible in print. There’s no need for elimination, just get them all down on paper.

3. Process and eliminate. Search to see which names are available before narrowing down the choices. The will help to eliminate frustration with choosing a name you can’t use because it’s already been taken.

Following these steps may seem time consuming at first but consider the outcome and how important the right brand name will be to your product or service.
