This trick does work in IE7, but you have to make sure you are using the proper DOCTYPE or else IE will go into quirks mode. Read more about quirks mode and proper DOCTYPE here.

ALSO - Be sure to check out my collection of CSS template cheats. I have several starter templates there that use a centered DIV without using the above trick.

Doesnt work in IE7

CSS is a disaster. It shouldnt take hours of blog post searching to find some f*$%ing code to center a div.
